Galloway Offers LEED AP Exam
Preparation Course
To assist our industry in understanding and utilizing the concepts of sustainable design, Galloway is offering a comprehensive course that prepares candidates for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) professional accreditation exam. This program facilitates training for those planning to become LEED Accredited Professionals (AP’s) or for those desiring a more thorough understanding of the LEED certification process. The course walks through the entire LEED for New Construction Rating System (New Construction and Major Renovation, version 2.2) in a systematic manner. The sessions are designed to help navigate the large quantity of information quickly and efficiently and to study the relevant details as you go.
Professional Growth and Development
The use of LEED is expanding into every facet of the building industry and every type of project, and this course provides a solid introduction to the process and tools of LEED. Studying for the LEED AP exam contributes toward professional development and enables you to more fully understand how green building practices can benefit your next project. Additionally, the LEED AP designation is a recognized professional accomplishment that demonstrates to those within your workplace as well as to outside clients that you have an understanding of sustainable design principles and the ability to utilize LEED rating systems.
Successful Exam Completion
Because of the challenge and expense of the LEED AP exam, the focus of our program is to help ensure successful exam completion the first time it is taken. The course is designed for individuals with little or no previous LEED exposure; however, for persons having previous experience with LEED or the exam itself, this course offers a detailed review, improving chances for successful testing.
Flexible Class Scheduling
This class is formally structured but we can be flexible in scheduling, timing, and length to best suit your needs. The ideal schedule is four sessions over a four-week period, totaling eight hours of class time with individual testing thereafter. This has proven to be a reasonable time period for learning and studying as you go and has proven to be optimally effective for successful test results.
